First of all we would like to thank all participants who turned Rena Botten och Operation Ghostnet into really successful projects. Many thanks!
2025 is over and now we are in full preparations for 2026! For 2026 we will do at least 5 weeks of Operation Ghostnet, several Lobster Pot cleanups, as well as Rena Botten.
All projects need more participants; in the water, on land, or on the boat. Divers to collect trash, document and salvage ghostnets. There is a place for every diver, regardless of certification and organization. Participants collecting trash coming up, and helping divers in and out of the water or documenting.
We combine utility with pleasure while contributing to a cleaner ocean and evolving our diving skills!

Global Underwater Explorers, GUE, is an international diving organization that for over 25 years has conducted education, environmental protection and exploration.
GUE Sweden is a non-profit organization started in 2018 in the spirit of GUE with the purpose to support and manage projects within environmental protection and exploration of different underwater areas in Sweden. GUE Sweden manages two environmental projects; Rena Botten cleans the ocean from garbage in different forms while Operation Ghostnet documents and salvages lost fishing equipment, including so called ghostnets and lobster pots.
Apart from the projects we also train divers and arranges trips and excursions to exciting destinations.
In our project map it is easy to see locations we have surveyed and cleaned, as well as to follow our work:
